Duststar sighed as he walked to an old forgotten two-leg place and went into it once he had gotten there. He started to walk around this old forgotten two-leg place he never been here before. He been able to leave the camp in awhile since he had to make sure that the clan was safe atthe moment since they were low on warriors. Duststar looked looked around as he walked surprised that the two-legs had made al of this. He was starting to question himself about why he had decided to come here in the first place remembered that he just needed to get away from the camp for a bit.
He would stop every now and than looking at different things in the place. Duststar stopped in front of one more place and wandered if it was safe to over go into. He tested it with his paw before putting another one of his paws on the floor making sure that it would hold up his weight. Duststar walked fully into the place and started to walking around being careful making sure that were he was about to step at so wouldn't have to worry about falling through the floor.
That morning Foxtail went out hunting. He always had a rough time sleeping, and those rough sleeps effect his interactions with other cats, simply putting it, he's a grump in the morning. Ever since he became a warrior Foxtail has made it a habit of going out hunting, or going out for a walk to wake himself up. He doesn't know why but it always seemed to help. After catching a frog did he notice his Clan leader walking by without noticing him even when he said hi. Finding it strange Foxtail hid his catch and followed Duststar. At first he thought Duststar was just going out for a walk around the territory until the tom went over the border.
Foxtail's green eyes narrowed and wondered what his leader was up to. Was he going into WindClan territory? No. If he wanted to go into WindClan territory the best path would be the twoleg bridge near the Abandoned Twolegnest. The border between WindClan and ShadowClan is mostly by the river and the only known bridge was that peculiar bridge. More curious than ever Foxtail followed after his leader. He paused by the border and glanced back at the dense forest of ShadowClan territory. Finally he leaped over the river and followed his leader's scent. Foxtail had no idea what his leader was up to and whenever he came up with a theory it was thrown up the more he followed.
For some odd reason Duststar went all the way through the plains outside of WindClan territory to twolegplace. Foxtail's mind was reeling, why in StarClan would Duststar come here? What was he up to? And more importantly, why didn't he tell anyone where he was going. It was all too strange and out of the ordinary for Foxtail to understand. Nevertheless, he was determined to find out.
He continued to follow his leader, staying far enough away to stay undetected. Finally his leader stopped by a bizarre place somewhere in twolegplace. The place was littered with huge unnatural objects that didn't look at all like the nests the twolegs live in. Duststar got up on a wooden floor, and appeared to be testing it carefully. Unable to hold back any longer, Foxtail padded over to his leader cocking his head. "Duststar, what are you doing?" he asked curiously, his tone having an accusing edge to it.
Duststar flinches when he hears someone else there close to him. "I was just curious about this place Foxtail", Duststar told him. He looked around as he waited for him to reply to what he just said he knew he was curious but his tone was also accused he didn't see what harm there was. Duststar sat down wanting to go farther but he had to wait until Foxtail said something about what he had just told him. Sighing he shifted a bit as he was sitting at and wrapped his tail around his paws as he sat there not knowing what else to do as he waited.
Duststar thought that this place would be nice to look around at for now. He hadn't wanted to let anyone know that he was going to go overout and look around. It was a bit to late for that since Foxtail had folfowed him and he hadn't even realized that he was being followed until he had heard someone. Duststar wished that he hadn't been followed on his way here by any of his warriors but the more better at thatmoment. Just I case he had gotten hurt since he had someone would know where he was at and either could go get some help or help him out.
Shocked, Duststar turned around and stared at Foxtail. "I was just curious about this place Foxtail," he replied, sitting down and wrapping his tail around his paws neatly.
Foxtail blinked at his leader, baffled. Did Duststar really come all the way out here because he was curious? He found it quite hard to believe. What cat would be curious about a twolegplace... or maybe it wasn't really the place but the inhabitants that have disappeared so long ago. But why would Duststar go so out of his way for that? Foxtail cocked his head, and looked up at his leader uncertainly. "Really? You came all the way out here, out of your way just because you were curious?" Foxtail rasped. His eyes narrowed to slits. "I find that hard to believe, and quite frankly very irresponsible and mousebrained! What would have happened if you got hurt out here and couldn't get back. The Clan wouldn't know where you are! And besides, what if something happens in the Clan and your not there." Foxtail hissed, the more he talked the angrier he became. Midnightstar would never have done something this reckless and mousebrain.
Duststar knew this was coming him being lectured about his recklessness again. He noticed that he had looked baffled at his reply to the question Foxtail had asked him. Duststar nods at his to question he kind of figured that Foxtail wouldn't believe him when he told him that he was curious about several things. He sat there listening to what he was being told he knew this was foing to happen because of his recklessness again. He knew everything he was being told there was a lot of things that could've gone wrong if he would've gone into the old place.
Duststar stayed silent through out the leature that he was being given at the moment. He had already lost one life and he wasn't planning on losing any more this was worse thing he could have done. Duststar wasn't shocked when he was mousedbrain for coming here and not telling any of the warriors or his deputy where he was going. He knew that Midnightstar would be disappointed in him since he trusted him when he made him deputy all of those moons ago. "I know", Duststar mumbled when he was done talking he felt like a kit being scalded by its mother because of this.
Foxtail stood there panting softly, catching his breath after his outburst. He thought he probably shouldn't have yelled at his leader but he couldn't help it. Midnightstar was his mentor and left the Clan to join StarClan to be led by his successor, Duststar. Midnightstar has his reasons for choosing Duststar to be his deputy and future Clan leader but he had never spoke out those reasons. Foxtail's ears twitched as Duststar made his reply by only saying he knows.
Angrily Foxtail turned his back on his leader and clenched his teeth angrily. "Honestly, you can't just go off like this without letting anyone know. Sometimes you make me worry about ShadowClan's future and Midnightstar's judgment," Foxtail growled and walked away. He couldn't even look at his leader right now, just the image of his face in his mind made his fur stand on end.
Duststar looks down at the ground in front of him. He doesn't look up at he didn't say anything when Foxtail had started talking again. Duststar looked up shocked when he said the last part he watched him walk away and lays down where he was sitting at he still shocked by what he had just been told. He hadn't been expecting this and lays his head on his paws thinking about what he had just been told he layed there for a bit longer. Duststar groans as he got to his paws but didn't follow Foxtail he started to walk around this old two-leg place he needed to think over what he had been told.
He already had doubts about himself being the leader. Duststar didn't needed to be told that he had wanted to question his prodccesser about his choice but didn't. Duststar went to the big circle thing and stood there looking up at it he wandering how does the two-legs ever make these things.
Foxtail kept walking his thoughts buzzing so loud like bees in a hive. After a moment his anger began to fade. He probably shouldn't have said those things. Duststar has his bad points but he is a good leader. He wondered if it was really Duststar's actions that angered him so much or whether it was something else. Foxtail glanced back in the direction he had come; considering whether he should keep going or go back. What would cats say when he tells them where his leader has gone but didn't bother bringing him back? Foxtail sighed, he knew what he has to do. He can't leave Duststar alone. If something happens to him and he doesn't return ShadowClan would be leaderless and thus vulnerable.
About to turn around the sudden turn of the wind hit his nose. Immediately he froze, catching a fresh scent he would never mistake over. Fox! The same kind of dangerous animal that killed his sister when he was still an apprentice. His ginger fur standing on end Foxtail looked around and spotted a thick furry tail with a white tip similar to his whisk out of sight between the odd twoleg creations. Isn't that the direction to where Duststar is? he thought, his heart in his throat with horror. "StarClan help us!" Foxtail rasped and ran back in the direction he took. His leader wasn't where he last saw him but he spotted the tom looking at some of the large odd twoleg things. Alert for the fox Foxtail glanced around several times as he came up to his leader. "Duststar, we have to leave!" Foxtail hissed, looking around hastily.
Duststar was still looking up at the thing he was a bit amazed with the strange wheel thingy. Stretching since he had been standing there for awhile and his limbs were a bit stiff. Sighing Duststar was about to move on again when he heard Foxtail call to him "What is wrong Foxtail?", He asked when he heard him he hadn't noticed that anything was off while he was standing there. He nodded in agreement though about them leaving he had explored enough of this place to satisfy coursity at the moment about this place.
He moved from he was standing at and moved away from it. Duststar was still wandering what was wrong at the moment. He still didn't notice anything different but he was on guard just in case.
"What's wrong Foxtail?" Duststar asked, coming towards him and looking around anxiously.
Foxtail turned to his leader, a frightened expression on his face. "There is a fox nearby," he told his leader. Usually Foxtail wouldn't be so frightened but foxes aren't creatures to mess with by yourself or with just two cats. And the memory of fighting and running from a fox still left a scar especially when it reminded him of the death of his sister Lilyheart. He just couldn't forget how his sister laid there on the ground dying and Midnightstar giving her warrior name before she passed. "We must leave, now," Foxtail warned, looking around again.
Duststar notices Foxtail's frightened expression on his face. He listened to what he was saying he was shocked when he said that there was a fox here. Duststar was even more surprised since he hadn't noticed a foxes scent when he first came inside of this place the first time. It probably had been. He was thinking why did it have to be a fox some his best friend had been killed by a fox when they werd apprentices. Duststar nodded in agreement not wanting to face a fox or have to fight one at the moment "Lets leave than", he said starting towards the exit.
